Scientific knowhow in theory and practice.
The Physiological Academy for Coaching and Education (PACE) consists of the research group Exercise Physiology and
Training Theory from the Department of Movement and Sports Sciences at Ghent University. PACE aims to make the
acquired expertise from scientific research and practical experience available to elite athletes and teams, coaches,
federations, and companies. The focus of this service is within two subfields:
Coaching
Education
Within ‘Coaching,’ PACE provides training guidance for elite
individual athletes and teams to achieve optimal performance.
This training guidance can be executed at various levels, ranging
from comprehensive training management and monitoring to
sports scientific guidance on specific topics. The approach
always considers the profile of the sport and the athlete,
ensuring an optimal match through the training program.
Additionally, companies can also turn to PACE for
comprehensive training guidance for employees who train
together for a sporting goal (Mont Ventoux, 20km of Brussels,
etc.).
